It’s Good to be Back!

It’s been several weeks since the lockdown restrictions were eased, and we couldn’t be happier to get back playing the game we love. It has been a difficult few months during lockdown, but we've loved seeing all the incredible social media posts, pictures and feedback that you have shared with us. It's good to be back!
Since re-opening, golf clubs have seen a huge increase of new members, from people looking to start a new hobby to golfers that are looking to take up a second course for variety. Whatever your stage in your golfing career you are at, it’s great to see you getting back into the swing of things!

Safety Matters
While restrictions may be easing, staying safe is of utmost importance. Greenkeepers across the UK continue to work fiercely to bring you the best of the best, ensuring they continue to work safely in line with BIGGA and government guidelines.

Your golfing union continues to work around the clock to ensure you receive all the answers you are looking for, and is keeping you informed of all the latest advice.

Golf clubs have a duty of care keep you safe and to protect each and every one of you, so we ask that you continue to follow our guidelines whilst onsite at your local club. This may mean new ways of booking, reduced facilities and equipment sharing, as well as following social distancing rules. If you are a visitor, ensure you know the club’s guidelines in advance so you can prepare for anything you may need to bring with you.

We Appreciate your Support!
To all golf members we just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU! You have supported your local club during a difficult and uncertain time. Across the country, without your help many clubs would not have survived.

If there is one silver-lining that these challenging times have created, is that many people have been forced to re-evaluate their lifestyle. Interest in golf has surged, perhaps because more people have had free time or rekindled an interest in outdoor sports. From golfing veterans who are itching to get back onto the course, to people trying golf for the first time, the game’s appeal is good news for golf clubs nationwide. With new members signing up, it helps many clubs recover from the uncertain time of full lockdown, and helps secure their future.

Hopefully it won’t be much longer before we can enjoy the game at its fullest, meet friends in the club house for after-game drinks and use all the facilities that clubs offer. Until then, stay safe and please continue to follow the guidelines for your local clubs. This allows you to make the most of being on the golf course and enjoy your game.

As always, we’re here to help, so if you have any questions do please feel free to contact us.

The future looks bright, and we wish you all the best for the season ahead!

Keeping safe whilst playing the game you love most!

Keeping safe whilst playing the game you love most! The Covid-19 crisis has hit us all hard. Now we are beginning to see some sports open up again, but things are still far from normal. One of the advantages of golf is that it takes place outside, usually in wide open spaces on a golf course. This means the potential of coronavirus transmission is minimal, but nothing is without risk when mixing with others. Here’s how to keep safe whilst playing the game you love most! Booking You may not be able to book your game in the usual way. Instead, you may need to book online and follow club rules on teeing times. This is to ensure safety of both staff and players by making sure that hygiene and social distancing rules can be achieved. Social Distancing By now, most of us are used to the two metre rule, and this is even easier to do on the golf course. When sharing a game with others, walking from hole to hole makes it easy to keep the required distance apart, rather than
